This
is Riley, a very handsome fellow who is two years old and I don't
know what breed he is. I worked at a refinery in Texas where someone dumped
him off along the side of the road and he found his way into the plant. He
was a scrawny little thing but very loving, he slept for almost a week
straight until he got his strength back. Riley is special for lots of reasons
but mostly because he helps the newest kittens who show up on our doorstep.
He shows them the ropes and how to stay away from Olivia (the Queen).
He is a quick learner but only on his terms, otherwise he does things on
purpose like knocking stuff off the counter after you tell him no! Sometimes
when he feels like it he will use the toilet instead of the litter box and if
he uses the Cat Genie then he gets a treat. It didn't take him long to figure
out how to get more treatsÉby going in it and covering up someone else's
"deposit"! I figured if he made the effort he deserved a treat and now he's
teaching Fritz the kitten how to do the same trick.
Riley likes to watch TV, his favorites are the Critter Sitter dvd and also
anything with other cats in it like "Awesome Pawsome" on the Nat Geo channel.
If he is acting up and causing trouble with the other cats I give him a time
out with his video; 20 minutes later he is sound asleep and we can all get
some peace for a couple of hours. He does acrobatic somersaults with his red
fuzzy feather & Da Bird toy too. My little Riley man is quite the handsome
dude and I love him lots!
