Our
cat's name is Steffi and she is a Ragdoll. Steffi is very different than
any other cat we had. Everything is on her terms. She loves to sneak outside
and after a half hour of trying to catch her; she walks into the house. She
loves to take a bath, so when she hears water running. Steffi is right there.
Steffi came into our lives, right after my mom died. My son-in-law Todd, gave
us Steffi thinking it would help make up for the loss. For three days, she hid
and came out only to eat. My granddaughters, Phoebe, Chloe and a neighbor,
Michael, were playing a game in the living room. Steffi's curiosity got the best
of her and she had to join the kids. She likes to be well groomed, especially
her tail. Whenever I get the hand vacuum out, she lays down, so I can get rid
of any loose hair. All of our other cats, always sat with me, but Steffi
sits with my husband, Henry, she insists he moves his feet on the Lazyboy to
make room. She listens to make sure you close the door tightly or she sneaks
out and we spend a good half hour looking and she walks back into the house.
We worry, because of cars of course, and the coyotes. This Ragdoll is very
independent and everything, as I said before, is on her terms. But we love her!
