Cha
Cha is a longhair kitty living in Scottsdale. She joined our home last
week after spending her first two years of life at a shelter. Last year she
survived an illness that brought her close to death. We are so happy she was
living in a no-kill shelter. Otherwise, our home would not now be graced with
such a sweet little soul.
I've only had Cha Cha for a short time, but she is a sweetheart. She does a
funny little step with her front paws (thus, the name) and is delicate in
everything she does. She has a high-pitched little cry that she uses when she
is looking for me or if she is hungry and she jumps on anyone's lap if they
pet their legs inviting her up. Although she has a gentle nature, she is the
alpha cat in the family and as such, always first to eat.
Both Cha Cha and her "sister" Tango are rescue cats who had medical conditions
of which they were given an opportunity to overcome and thrive. I'm thankful
they were not "put down" because they are so dear and sweet and deserve to
have a good life and be part of a family. I wish more people would open their
homes and their hearts to these little ones who were left behind.
