Hello,
everybody! My name is Jasmine and I'll tell you right off the bat that
I rule the roost! Things must be done my way or else! My original family
tried to tell my new mom and dad that I had a terrible attitude but of course,
being the cat lovers that they were, they just didn't believe them! Well,
while I wormed my way into their hearts, I set out to prove what my former
owners said was true. I have been with my new family now for nine years and I
continue to moan, groan, growl, spit, and yes, I even hiss at them when they
want me to do something I don't want to do. But guess what? They love me
anyways! I am a princess and get treated like one, right down to the twelve cat
trees I have in my house. We won't even count the beds I have but let's
suffice to say that my favorite is mom and dad's new Simmon's Beauty Rest
mattress! Sleeping perpendicular is heaven!
Every day, after my dinner, my dad takes me into the bedroom and he lays on
the bed with me for about two hours, giving me a back rub and just loving me and
spending quality "quiet time" with me. Mom always tried to hold me like a
baby but, well, squirming works! I desperately wanted to be an only cat but
they just had to go and rescue Dexter and Floyd, too! Go figure!
Right now I have been diagnosed with nasal cancer and I went through sixteen days
of radiation treatment which I handled in my normal princess manner! I am
holding my own right now and getting all the different kinds of food I want,
for being such a brave and good girl. I am one pampered pet, but I think I'll
hold out and not let mom and dad know quite yet what a great life I have!
