Also
known as Crick, Kick-to, and Grandkitty, Crickett has been a favorite
since the day he was born under my bed. He quickly learned to run and that
those moving bumps under the covers are feet, and that he can draw attention
when he bites those feet. As Crickett and his seven litter-mates grew I began to
fret that I may lose Crickett, because my mother intended to give them all
away. I begged for weeks and when someone would come over to pick out a kitten
I would hide him, soon he was the only one left. As my persistence wore on
her, she eventually caved as I said that he should be my one and only
graduation present. Though a nice car or a trip to Europe would have been
nice, I really couldn't have ever wished for a better gift.
Crickett "helps" me with chores such as sweeping (chasing the broom), making
the bed (dashing and hiding under the covers as I try to put them on the bed),
and laundry ( pawing my socks under the bed). His past-times include playing
with Birdie-his favorite toy - and going to his Grandma's where his cat mom,
dad, and older brother love to visit with him as his human mom goes to work.
His grandma taught him to ring a bell every time he wants his favorite
treat;shrimp, now one can always hear the bell going off! He also enjoys
sleeping with his human mom and dad under the covers on his back and launching
surprise attacks upon people's feet.
He is known for how friendly he is, and for his crazy personality. Crickett is
one of a kind, he brings joy to everyone that he meets and laughter to those
who he doesn't meet through the pictures and stories I share.
