Mr.
Beau, or as he's frequently called Bo Bo by his "Mom," was adopted from
our local no kill Humane Society in Wisconsin to join our eight-year-old cat,
Sunshine. He had grown up in the shelter from birth and when we first saw him
at 11 month old, he was reaching under the door to play with my husband's
cane. When he was let out to roam he checked out the other cages and started
climbing. He is quite the player and it took him a while to get used to our
quiet household, and the Christmas tree that was present when he arrived. But
then he found "the porch" and he could watch the birds, enjoy the fresh air
and occasionally talk me into putting on his halter and going out for a roll
in the grass. He is not a lap sitter but loves to roll up in the braided
carpet-pulling it over him, and loves feather play and brushing. He and
Sunshine play a game of hide and seek every day. My favorite picture
is in the porch where he is finding the catnip plant. He loves the
table to sit and peruse his new world. We are still working on the night
awakenings for attention or play, which we are not fond of, but he thinks
is fine.
He is a shorthair domestic cat with beautiful markings and we love him dearly.
