This
is Sammy, he was adopted off the streets in 2002. We are unsure of his
age, though we do know he was already an adult when he started coming to us
for food. We think he's maybe eight or nine now. When he was first found he was a
wary kitty, he did not liked being touched. It took a month before he even
trusted us enough to go in the house.
He's lived with us for a long time now and we feel he is happy living us. We
may never know what happened to him in the months he probably lived on the
streets. We do know from the vet that he may have broken his hip at some point
but it doesn't seem to bother him. He's a really sweet cat now but still has
his days of being an angry cat - sometimes he doesn't want to be bothered and
will cry until you stop bothering him.
He loves to spoon my moms back when she goes to bed or sometimes when shes up
watching tv. He'll come cuddle for a bit hoping for scratches behind his ears
and he loves to give kisses. If he doesn't get any he'll hiss and walk off in a
huff. He has his moments of occasional playfulness be it with a catnip toy or
the little toy mouse with a bell on its tail. I am still so happy remembering
the day my mom said that it would be okay to keep him if he chose to stay! And I
think Sammy is happy he made that choice, too!
