Hello,
My name is Sir William Maxwell Aitken, a.k.a. Lord Beaverbrook, a.k.a. Max the
Cat. I also go by Maxey, Maximillian, Maximus, Mixxus and Mickey, just to name
a few. I think I have about 50 aliases in all. I was born during Hurricane
Rita in September 2005. My sisters and I were found in the woods by a nice
lady who took us all to the neighborhood vet to get checked out. But she
couldn't keep us because she already had a family of cats. The vet technician
lady played matchmaker with me to a nice couple who had just lost their
beloved 19-1/2-year-old Siamese-mix cat named Frastas. His full name was
Theophrastus Phillippus Aureolus Bombastus von Hohenheim. Can you believe
that?
As you can imagine, my new daddy was a little stand-offish at first because he
didn't want just any kitty to replace his Frastas. However, I soon won him
over and now we are best buds. He's my Uber Katze and I love my home very
much, although I do get really scared when thunderstorms approach. I growl
real low and hide. I love to chase Pounce treats and play outside on pretty
days, but my family always gets me back in before dark. I got real sick last
summer and got down to nine pounds, but with lots of good care (and more Pounce
treats), I'm hitting the scale these days at sixteen pounds.
My favorite play toys are almonds still in their shells. I love to kick
them around and carry them back to my water bowl to go "fishing."
Everything I like to play with eventually goes fishing in my water
bowl... like my little red fuzzy stocking around Christmas time. Life is
good and I love my personal assistants!
