Blue
is four years old and lives in Flushing Queens. He was rescued as a baby in
Forest Park and was very sickly. As you can see he is quite healthy and very
well taken care of. He likes to drink from the faucet and doesn't mind
getting brushed and having his teeth cleaned. He is most loving and tries to
be helpful. He goes out only in the front yard and climbs half way up the
tree and likes to chase birds and squirrels.
He is the sweetest boy. He was a tiny baby (about two to three months) white ball
of fur when my nephew found him, and he was almost dead. His mother pushed
him away because he was very sick. My nephew passed him on to me and my
husband and we took him to the vet. He had conjunctivitis (almost blind), and
upper respiratory condition and needed a double dose of flea and tick
medicine. As he grew his colorings came out. As you can see it all worked and
he is 4 now and almost eighteen pounds. The vet believes he is part Persian
and Maine coon. My nephew spotted the cat who is probably the father who is
all white Persian with one gold and one blue eye.
We never knew how beautiful he would be. He also likes to play ball in the
house with his golf balls and football. He is very safe outside, and knows
his yard well. He only goes out in front of the house with us and wont go past
the sidewalk. If he hears a truck coming he scoots right to the door. He
also likes to see the sun rise at the window. He is also a very good hunter
of flying bugs in the summer. We praise him when he catches them, and he
can jump very high at least five feet. Oh yes, and he plays cards with me. Not
kidding - it is very funny. He poses for pictures and probably is more on the
independent side, but will lay on his back and let me scratch his neck for
long periods of time.
