Hi!!
My name is Cody. My mom adopted me from an animal rescue shelter where
she volunteers. I am about two months old here. I was a very sick little boy
when she took me home. My sister, Cara, got to come with me because we were
the only two of our litter of six left. The fleas almost killed me, then I get a
respiratory infection and my little blue eyes swelled shut so I couldn't even
see to walk around!
It was nip and tuck for awhile there - but my mom loves me so much she fed me
with a syringe, gave me bad tasting medicine and held me all the time!! I
believe that she actually willed me to get well so I could live a very happy
life with her and my dad! My sister was sick, too, but she got better faster
than I did.
Now, we are both healthy, happy and very frisky!! I am bigger than my sister
now and chase her all over the place! There are two other kitties that live
here but they don't like us very much. Cayli, my older Siamese brother, just
hisses and bats at me - but it doesn't bother me a bit!! I just keep
tormenting him!! It's fun!! The other older cat, Cammi, completely ignores
us. She's no fun!! But, that doesn't bother me either!
Mom and dad call me their "little masked man"! Everyone that sees me say they
have never seen a more interesting face!! Some even laugh at my face and call
me a raccoon, ferret, or Koala Bear. I have no clue what all that means!!! My
big, droopy blue eyes seem to melt anyone lucky enough to see them!!
The picture of me and Cara on the chair is the most recent. Aren't we
BEE-U-TI-FUL??? We are very happy kitties, live a wonderful life, and are so
grateful that mom and dad chose us to adopt!! We love them, too!!!!
Just want to remind everyone out there to adopt pets from your local
shelter - there are so many of us there that need good homes. Even though we
are so grateful to have a wonderful, loving home, we were sad to leave a lot
of our friends behind... and hope they got good homes, too.
