In
December of 2009, the first major snow storm of the entire winter hit
Lynchburg and the surrounding areas. A friend, named Dean, had been driving to
his mother's home in Lovingston all the way from Madison Heights (about a half
an hour drive). When he got out of his truck, he heard this strange noise come
from the rear fender well of his truck. Well, out pops this little kitten. Her
whiskers were frozen from the cold and she was shivering. He took her inside,
warmed her up, and gave her some food.
On December 24th, 2009, I was sitting at home watching television after a day
of work when my boyfriend walked in the door with a cardboard box. He set in
on the kitchen counter and said, "Merry Christmas." I peeked in the box, and
this adorable little gray fur ball popped her head out, looked at me with
these huge green eyes, and let out a tiny meow. I was in love!
Doodle is the smartest and most curious cat I've ever owned. She's always into
something and chatters like crazy. She even does this clicking in her throat
when she sees bugs flying around the porch light at night. Doodle meows what
she wants when it comes to dinner time as well. It's something you'd have to
see to appreciate.
I can proudly say that she is the greatest gift I have ever received and I
wouldn't trade her for the world!
