Left
on the doorstep of a pet store along with her litter mates, Abby was
brought to a barbecue that I was attending with an animal rescuer. She
caught my heart and I knew that she belonged with Dudley, the old-man-cat
of our house, as the newest member of our family. She came in to our home
and in to our hearts where she has remained ever since. The second photo is
a baby picture of Abby with her original buddy, Dudley.
Sadly, she lost her partner in crime, Dudley, after several months when he
became ill. We were fortunate enough to find Joe, our little cubby, who has
been her buddy ever since.
Abby's hobbyies include spider hunting, stalking and tackling her buddy Joe
from behind the couches, and following her humans around the house. When
she's really frisky, she hides under the bed and bats at your toes as you
walk by. She appreciates attention, but only on her terms. A diva 'til the
end, it's only fitting that she came with a black necklace conveniently
marked around her neck.
The happiness and joy she has brought to our lives is all the reason you
need to adopt a rescue animal, and if you're lucky enough, maybe they will
bat at your toes too.
