This
is Lucy (a.k.a. LuLu, Lucy Loo, Lucita). Lucy was adopted from our local
Humane Society with her "sister" (no relation) Lonnie. We had just recently
lost our nineteen-year-old cat, and couldn't bear the house being so quiet. We
didn't expect to adopt two cats that day, but we just couldn't resist her or her sister.
When we first adopted Lucy, she didn't really like to be held or have you love
on her. It took years for us to earn her trust, but she is now a really
loving and relaxed cat who spends most of her days lounging in the Florida sun
either on her cat tree, in her bedroom, in one of her cat beds or on our
enclosed lanai. She doesn't like playing with a lot of toys, but can never
resist her "Mr Mouse" (a refillable catnip filled mouse). She squeaks with
delight when you toss it up in the air for her to catch.
I hope you enjoy the pictures of her, as much as we enjoy having her as part
of our family.
