I'd
like everyone to meet Sam (a.k.a. Sammy, Sambo, Fluffy Butt, and Fancy
Pants - due to his long "breeches"). I got Sam from the local animal
shelter when he was about two years old. He had been there six months, with
no interest. It was love at first sight for me! He is the most "dog-like"
cat I have ever known. He loves everybody, and never meets a stranger! If
we order pizza, Sam has to go to the door to "talk" to the delivery boy. He
is an inside cat, but loves to go out on his leash to chew on grass. He is
not afraid of anything, or anybody.
The first time I took him to the vet, this cat breed poster on the wall
caught my eye. There was a cat that looked just like my Sam! Underneath the
picture, it said "Turkish Angora." I started to read about the breed, and
discovered that must be what he is. He is very typical of the breed both
physically and personality-wise - everything I have told you about him fits
their description!
Sam lives with us and our three other cats, Brodie, Lily, and Chloe. Chloe
is Sam's "girlfriend." They cuddle and groom each other all of the time.
Sam is the dominant cat in our house. He tries to pick fights every now
then to make sure none of the others forget. He definitely rules the roost!
He is our special boy, and we love him very much!!!
