This
is Grayson - My Miracle Kitty. We found Grayson wandering around outside
one very chilly morning. He was anemic, hypoglycemic, and needed a blood
transfusion - fast. He then started having seizures and nearly went into
cardiac arrest. Since then, he has had many illnesses, but he is a fighter
with a strong will to live.
He is now the happiest, most playful and spoiled kitty, and has brought us so
much love and happiness. You would never, ever know he is a bit of a
special-needs kitty!
He has since been diagnosed with hemobartonella, kidney disease, partial
blindness (due to the "unknown"), and a permanent neurological brain disorder.
Since we found him very ill at such a young age, the vets are assuming that
he may have gotten into something poisonous (maybe antifreeze) before we found
him, since it seems we rescued him just in the nick of time. We constantly
have to monitor him for his "special needs." Grayson has no idea he is the
least bit sick or "special," and he doesn't let his neurological disorder get
in his way. He is extremely playful, very affectionate, and he loves people
and other animals. Grayson has his own way of playing. He runs through our
house at a very high speed, jumping over the other cats and dogs. Not just
jumping, but cutting flips through the air. He is so funny to watch.
Although we don't know what the future hold for him, we will continue to do
everything possible to help him live a long and healthy life. Grayson is like
a child to us, and he is our true miracle "fur-baby."
