This
is our kitty, Pussifer (we just call him Puss' or MowMow). He's
approximately five years old. I'm not sure of his exact birth date because Puss
was found outside when he was about three weeks old. A mail carrier found him
outside, picked him up, put him in her mail bag and took him to the local
groomer where my mother was working as a photographer at the time. It was
perfect timing for him to be found, because my mother was bottle feeding a
litter of four kittens that were found abandoned along railroad tracks. The
litter was about the same age. My mom took him home and bottle fed him along
with the litter. He was feistier than the other kittens but everyone got along
great.
When Puss was about ten weeks old, I brought him to live with me. His father and I
believe that he is the best cat in the whole entire world. He's so well
behaved, he's very independent and he is just a great cat. We recently took in
a foster kitty' who we call Nixxi. Puss fell in love with her instantly. She
was only supposed to stay with us until we found her a permanent/stable home.
Her previous owner had passed away. After seeing how much Puss loves her and
how much happier he is when she's around, we decided that there's way now we
could part with her.
If ever you leave something lay around, like any kind of paper or box,
you'll be sure to find Puss sitting or laying on it. If it's a box you'll find
him sitting statue-like on top of it. Puss lives with two dogs who he does not
like one bit. He'll hiss and swat at them if they get to close. The dogs don't
intentionally bother him, Puss just doesn't like them. Puss' Dad wasn't
exactly a "cat person" before. It's not that he didn't like them, he just was never
really around them because he was allergic to cats. Now with a little help
from allergy medicines they can get as close and snuggly as they want. His Dad
loves him very much and he loves his Dad just the same. Whenever his Dad gets
home from work, Puss will beg him for treats. He runs to the kitchen and jumps
up on the table and waits for them. We don't have children, just our four pets (two
cats and two dogs). I like to refer to Puss as our oldest child/son.
