Our
story begins on a sad note... On January 12, 2009 I had to have my first
cat (Buffy) put to sleep due to advanced illness. I had adopted Buffy from our
local shelter and we had been together for almost sixteen years. Needless to say, I
was emotionally devastated and became very depressed.
Even though I said I never wanted another, I started looking at different
breeders and it was then that I found the beautiful little furbaby we
now call Abby. Yes, it was love at first sight so my sister and I traveled to
South Carolina to bring Abby home. This Valentine's Day will make one year
that she has been with us and my little Valentine kitty has healed my broken
heart and has made me very happy! My husband and son love her almost as much
as I do. Abby is now sixteen months old and weighs twelve pounds.
Abby may not be the most placid and docile Ragdoll, but she can be the biggest
lovebug. All it takes is one of her kisses to make you forget any bad or
undesirable behavior.
It has taken me some time to get used to wearing Abby as a hat while I sleep
and as she continues to grow it will not be long until she has the pillow all
to herself! I wonder if this wasn't her plan all along?
Abby is our "Cat of the Day" every day and we love her very much!
