My
name is Taylor but my Mom sometimes calls me her Little Muffin. My Mom
adopted my sister Marble and I when we were just six weeks old. An anonymous
person dropped us off with our brother at a local vet's office when we were
just four weeks old with a note about our date of birth and that we needed a
home. The people at the vet's were very helpful and gave us wellness checks
and our first kitten shots while we were fostered by one of the vet's
assistants. My brother found his new home at five weeks so he was happy. Our
new Mom had just lost Joe, her 15 1/2-year-old tabby and was bringing in his
sister Jennifer to the vet for a routine checkup. The vet's assistants knew
she had just lost Joe so they said, "Hey, come check out our new kittens!"
They knew the potential of a good home when they saw Mom so she came to look
at Marble and me.
I was the runt of the litter but Mom fell in love with both of us instantly!
She took us home at six weeks old; we were already eating regular cat food and
knew how to use the litter box which was cool. We immediately knew we had
found our new home! I talk with Mom every day; she says "mew" and I answer
back and then I meow a lot more, especially while she is on the phone. I
follow her around the house like a little puppy to see what she is doing every
morning. I am two years old now but I only weigh 7.5 pounds so I have
maintained my petite figure.
I enjoy the little catnip toys and balls Mom brings home and I love to nap in
sunny windows, chairs and baskets. In January we had a new cat, Beau, join
our family. He is a twelve-year-old Chocolate Point Siamese whose parents'
health issues prevented them from providing Beau with a proper home. I
hissed at Beau a lot the first few weeks, unsure of who he was or what he
would do. But several months later, we are all now good companions. Beau
and I sometimes chase each other around the house. Life is good here!!
