I
was volunteering at a local shelter and they needed some volunteers to
foster all of the cats so that they could do the cat room over. I had asked
to take three kittens home. I was just leaving the shelter when I saw Jack in the
bottom row of cages. He just looked up at me and I knew! I took him out, he
put his paws around my face and gave me a kiss right on my cheek. I wasn't
just fostering Jack, I knew I was adopting him.
Jack loves everybody. He also loves bananas :o) He's great friends with his
other brothers and sisters, Lucy and Tiki. His personality is amazing. Even
my husband says he's such a good cat. He loves to give kisses to everybody,
not just his human family.
His tricks? He sits up like a prairie dog when he sees something going on
outside the window. He can also give you his paw if you have a treat for him.
He has a girlfriend named Lucy who lives with us, and he'll just lay there
while she gives him a bath. His favorite game to play is to chase Lucy and
then wrestle.
He loves to watch TV. Not just for a few minutes, but he'll watch a whole
show, especially Funniest Home Videos. He's really good in a car, while Lucy
screams her head off. Lucy and Jack go in the same crate. Lucy will sit her
butt right on his head and he'll never even move.
He's great with kids and when I take him out on the leash for a walk, he loves
to go up to kids, roll over and lay there for them to pet him.
Not only does he love bananas (sometimes I have to go outside to eat them
because otherwise he'll smell them and drive me crazy trying to get some) he
loves cantaloupe, watermelon and mango! He is unique!
