Destiny
came into my life quite unexpectedly!
While I was grieving the loss of my other calico cat, Ginger, who was at
the ripe old age of nineteen years, eleven months, at the time of her
death, Destiny appeared within just the next two days on the back deck of
the golf course that I frequent within the Michigan community that I live.
I was very reluctant to take her in as I had just lost my long time
friend, but when I saw how hungry she was, and her loving nature, I
couldn't resist. I was encouraged by my friends and the staff at the
course to take her home with me. Fortunately, that same day I had won the
daily lottery and came into $100 which helped pay for the set up for a new
kitten. She was taken to the vet within the next couple of days and
deemed to be a healthy one-year-old kitty and came through her initial
exam with flying colors.
She is the most loving kitty that I could ever imagine having and has
filled my life with joy ever since the loss of Ginger. Therefore, she
received the name of Destiny, for I feel that was just what happened when
she came to join me!
She loves to play with the little toy mice, running around the house with
them in her mouth like she has something very special, and then proceeds
to hide them in the couch for me to find later and throw out to her again.
When she first sees me when arriving home from work or play, she
immediately drops and rolls into a position of wanting a belly rub!
She will be two years old on August 14th and I hope that she will be with
me for a very long time to come!
