My
name is Timmy, aka Tiny Tim, Timmy Tucker from Tuckerville, the Tim-Man,
Timmers, Tim-ber (I fall a lot) and a few names I've heard my mommy mutter
under her breath that I can't repeat here. I am a wiry and energetic little
thing, full of the dickens and always, always into trouble. My mommy's friend
adapted me from the pound and then she had to leave town for a while so my
mommy and daddy babysat me. I walked in their house and ruled the roost
immediately and the other animals loved me. The dog followed me around like
the puppy dog he is, and Piper just wanted to play. I only weighed a couple of
pounds and they didn't know how to play gentle so they got yelled a lot for
being too rough with me. Hailey, who is sixteen, could hardly believe mommy was
bringing another kitten home but I kept Piper occupied so he quit terrorizing
poor Hailey. She puts up with me now but she has to put me in place
sometimes. She's kind of cantankerous in her old age. Our introduction was a
bit like Margaret Thatcher meets Axl Rose.
After a month I went back to my other home but there was a three-year-old that
didn't know how to be gentle and a one-year-old that didn't appreciate my
pouncing every time he moved, so mommy took me back. Daddy said I was going
back to the pound but I knew better. I was really glad to get back home to
Oscar the wiener dog and my feline companions Piper and Hailey. I especially
love Oscar, I always sleep with him but Piper is a great big brother. I
follow him around outside and imitate his every move. Which is not to say I
don't have a few of my own moves, I can shimmy up a tree in two seconds! I like
to get up on the squirrel-feeding platform and dare those squirrels to come
any closer and of course, I love to see if I can catch a bird. I'm not very
coordinated though, so I haven't been able to catch anything. I'm a big jumper,
when I'm chasing bugs I can leap and do airborne whoopty-dos. That also
means I can jump up to any surface in the house that I'm not supposed to be
on. I do that a lot. I've only broken a few things.
I don't much like to be held but I like to sleep on daddy when he is in his
easy chair. When Oscar is on daddy's lap I always have to join them. Mommy
says I'm really sweet when I'm asleep but I know she thinks I'm cute when I'm
awake too. She laughs at me a lot. She doesn't laugh very much when I attack
her feet (or any other exposed skin) when she's sleeping, though. I may be
small but what I lack in size I make up for with enthusiasm. I'm full grown
now but still half the size of the other cats.
I also love treats and because I'm such a good jumper my mommy has to find
creative hiding spots for the treats or else I find them and eat the whole
bag. Another favorite pastime is to ambush Oscar as he runs down the hall
after his squeaky toy. I jump out of one of the bedrooms and catch him as he
runs by. Some times I over-jump and hit the wall and my daddy sure does laugh
at me. I sure am a lucky little boy.
