What
makes Rika special is that, although I prefer white, long-haired,
male cats, I fell for Rika at the first sight. Her previous owner named
her "Baby Cat" but surrendered her to the Animal Shelter where I served as
a volunteer.
I never quite understand why they gave up such a sweet cat. She's very
friendly, never hisses, let alone attacking people - she just never does
it. Before adopting her, I bought a book, The Cat Behavior Answer Book:
Practical Insights & Proven Solutions for Your Feline Questions. When
adopting a rescue cat, you sometimes end up with questions, so I wanted to
be prepared. Fortunately I really don't need it at all!
