I
found Woody as a feral kitten that was abandoned by his mother on a rainy
Halloween day. He was so tiny that he fit in the palm of my hand. I did not
know if he would survive. I took him to the vet and other than being wet and
hungry he was okay. I was going to find him a home once he got a little
bigger, as I already had another cat, so I did not name him for a few weeks. I
called him Little Kitty and after about a month it was apparent he would be
staying. He keep getting on the roof of our house and would smell of wood so
he soon became "Woody" "Woodrow" "Woo" and several other names as he became a
resident to my home.
Woody has been the best cat I have ever been rescued by! I have rescued
several and found them homes, and he has always been so patient and allowed
them into our home and has never been mean or raised a paw to any of them,
even though they may have not been so kind in return to him!
He loves to play mouse ball when he sits in his cat condo. I can pitch his
play mouse like a baseball, and he can swing his paw like a bat and hit the
mouse quite a distance. He is a huge talker and ALWAYS has the last word.
In the last few months he has been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and now has
the start of kidney disease. I am doing everything I can to ensure he the best
care possible, as he has given so much joy to me during his life. He truly is
the best cat ever in my book!
