Vic
is the "baby" my husband and I didn't have together, as we both have
children from our first marriages. So to say he is spoiled is an
understatement. Vic is extremely affectionate and also very vocal, just like
most Siamese cats. When Vic wants something, he knows how to even use
different cat calls or tones to get our attention. When frightened, he
sounds like a cat from the wild - lion-like. When he wants to be rubbed,
he'll come up to us and almost mew like a kitten. When he wants a treat,
he'll sit in front of us, and actually put his paw to our cheek to get our
attention. Every morning, he has a routine of strutting himself in front of
us and then calling to us, first softly, then stronger if ignored, rubbing
himself against us, and rubbing our cheeks, to get us up and give him a treat.
Vic is funniest when interacting with his sister, our cat, Val. Unfortunately,
I have no pictures of her on my computer at this time. She is six years old.
Vic wants to be king of the roost, but Val won't have it. Vic likes to be in
high places, looking down on everything. When he sees Val stroll by, he'll
literally jump on her back and ride her cowboy style 'til she can get him off.
It's absolutely hilarious. We've tried to capture this on film, but haven't
been able as it happens in a split second.
Vic may look like the king of the jungle, and be all big and bad with his
sister, but he's actually a scaredy cat in that should we entertain, he goes
off and hides. Val, on the other hand, loves to check out everyone and let
them know that this house is hers and they are merely guests in it.
I suppose Vic is as cat-like as the next one, but we love him just the same
and think he's beautiful.
