Chloe
is one of the happiest cats around, who just so happens to think that
she is a dog! These are her kitten pictures, but she is two years old now.
My fiancé and I found a litter of kittens hiding the barn on the nursery where
he works and took them home to care for them and find homes for them. Chloe
was so very scared that she never even blinked her wide eyes, and so tiny with
huge ears that I thought no one would adopt her, so I took her home to live
with my four other cats. She became attached to me very quickly, sleeping
with me every night and laying on my lap. It wasn't long before I realized
Chloe thought she was a dog. She has the ability to play fetch like no cat
I've ever seen. I throw her mice all over the house and she runs after them
at top speed and proudly returns with them in her mouth, dropping them by my
feet. She even carries the mice to me and announces that she wants to initiate
a game of fetch when she's feeling frisky.
Also, in dog fashion, she lays with her legs extended out straight behind her,
exactly the way our Welsh Corgi used to. She has an orange toy dog that she
sleeps with or chews on when she's in a chomping mood. She is one of the most
playful, loving and exuberant cats I have ever encountered. She loves to bury
herself under the pages of the Sunday paper and pounce on the unsuspecting
cats passing by. She runs down the stairs to greet me when I come home at
night and is always there to cheer me up when I need it. She even responds
when I talk to her. She's like a little furry ball of warmth and love and I
couldn't be happier that I took this scraggly, big-eyed, big-eared kitten home.
