Smokey
started out his life living in the house, but chose the outside life on
his own. He comes from a litter of two other kittens and he is the only one
still living. He has lived outside with other siblings (from the same
mother), that is why Smokey's fur is so long.
Smokey is your typical outside cat: he hunts, sleeps, and explores the wide
open planes of Wyoming (or at least just around the barn). He comes around to
eat his meals and then is off again. He is not an overly social cat, except
for with his Dad. His Dad now lives away from the farm, but when he is home,
all he has to do is call to Smokey. He calls him "Smokester." Smokey comes
barreling from wherever he was to greet him. He will only do this with his
Dad. They love each other for a while and pick up from where they left off
since the last visit.
Smokey is a truly special cat and he should not go unnoticed only because he
lives in the barn. He knows he is loved immensely by his Dad. The rest of us
are allowed to love him, but just by sight.
