My
name is Monty - short for Montana. I was born under my mom's friend Judy's
dining room table. I was an adventurous little kitten; when I started growing
I got depressed for a while, because I got so big that when I tried to jump and
balance on all my favorite perches I would knock everything over. So I became
a window-sitter. For the first eleven years of my life, I sat in the windows
of mom and dad's house in Syracuse, New York, and the squirrels in the trees
outside would harass me. No one would let me go out and play with them.
I've always been scared of car rides, because they generally always end at the
vet's. But when mom and I moved to Buffalo, I realized not all car rides have
bad endings. It took me a year or so, but now I rule over this little house.
I'm particularly happy because we have mice, something we never had before.
It's like the squirrels moved with me, but now they're indoors! I've
discovered the inner mouser in me; I love stalking them, catching them, and
playing with them! I'm not sure mom enjoys it as mcuh as I do, though. I also
love sleeping in this big bed, looking out the windows, eating treats, and
getting spoiled. I feel like I'm a kitten again!
Happy Cat of the Day Day to you!
