Our
Beauty is a wonderful kitty, she was a night-drop kitty we found at the
shelter, and although she was an older kitty, we knew that she would be a
wonderful addition to our home. She's somewhere between eleven and thirteen years old,
we'll never know for sure. She is such a great kitty, she is very mellow,
loves to snuggle up in bed at night, only after the lights go out. Then you
feel little cat feet walking so carefully across the bed to her favorite spot,
next to our shoulders, singing her little kitty music as she settles in for
the night.
She is a diabetic but that hasn't created much of a problem for her, she is
very easy to give her medicine shots, she just lays so still as she gets her
daily injections (2x daily). She is so beautiful with the softest of hair,
reminds us of bunny hair, so silky. She was adopted along with our other cat
Pippy, they are both Torties, and both have long hair, so daily brushes are a
ritual, Pippy loves them, Beauty (a.k.a. Mz. Buttah, short for butter ball)
only tolerates it for s a short time, then she will pretend to bite, but
never puts her teeth in you, only pretends to do it. So we just try for a
minute at a time, until we get her all brushed out. But it is worth it to
keep her both beautiful as her name implies, and comfortable, with no mats.
