We
adopted Elsie from the Humane Society about four years ago. She was
just a tiny kitten and was so cute! Our prior cat, Kitty, had passed away
from an enlarged heart condition at the age of thirteen. I wasn't sure I
wanted another pet because I was so devastated when Kitty died. But once I
saw Elsie, I was smitten! We've had her now for almost four years and she
is truly a member of our family! She is so funny and smart and just
delights us with her antics. Anytime there is an empty box or bag in the
house - it's hers! Doesn't matter how small it is - she'll try to get in
it and curl up.
We've bought toys for her to play with, but she'll leave them alone and
chase a small ball my husband will make from a piece of foil. She keeps
losing them, so he keeps making them. Wouldn't you know, when we moved the
couch to clean, there must have been 100 foil balls under there! She is
loving yet very independent (aren't all cats?) and will curl up with me on
the recliner or in bed at night and purr so loud it wakes me up! We just
love her to pieces and are so glad that she is a part of our lives.
