Lil
Bit is also known affectionately as Mangy Cat. I got Lil Bit (named that
since she was a little bitty kitty) from a neighbor whose cat had kittens.
She was the runt of the litter and couldn't get the milk she needed, so I
bottle-fed her. Needless to say, she doesn't think she is a cat. She has
moved with me from Pennsylvania to four different homes in Virginia where
I met my husband. She will sit on the end table by the front door waiting
for him to come home. If I come home first, she will look around me
looking for Bill. He has her so spoiled now. She comes when he clicks his
fingers or when he calls her (Mangy Cat). She likes to get into bed with
him when I get up.
Lil Bit doesn't act like an adult cat now either. She never played much
until Bill came along. Now she plays all the time. She likes jumping
out from corners to attack - wanting you to play with her. She will
run up behind me and nip at the back of my legs when she is in attack
mode. She mooches treats from Bill all the time, especially Donut Sticks
and cheese from a can (but only the sharp cheddar, please). She never
meowed until he moved in either. Now she talks to him all the time. She
is our baby and deserves recognition. She is our Cat of the Day every day.
