One
day last summer, a car pulled up in front of our shop. The owner
got out and went wherever he was going. Our neighbor came running into
our shop telling us to come out quickly! We did, and heard some very
loud screaming and hissing coming from under the car. Poor little
kitten was stuck somewhere between the wheel well and the axle of the
car. It took three of us about a half hour to get him out. By that time,
the name Axle had stuck!
Now he's happy and getting healthier and bigger by the day. We're not
sure of his breed - he could have some Russian Blue in him from his
looks, but we may never know. He had a rough start to life, but he's
doing very well now and has lots of love from me, my husband and all our
neighbors on the street!
This is a picture of him in our store window, he's now the star of
Rock-n-Robins Enchanted Cauldron if you are in the neighborhood. Despite
his unpleasant beginnings, and difficult introduction to us, he is a
friendly kitten who loves attention! He's now a year old, but was
nine weeks old in this picture.
