Weasley
is the absolute love of my life (besides my husband of course)!
I got a call about three years ago from some great friends of ours who
had found him in the parking lot outside their apartment; he was only
about three weeks old. I stopped by their apartment on my way home that
night and it was love at first sight! He was pretty dirty and mangy with
a plump little belly and his little head was like a bobble head doll! I
brought him home to meet our six-month-old cat Emma-Jane and before long
they were running around playing together like they were family. We
think he may be part Tabby and part Ragamuffin = Tabbamuffin!
There are so many things about Weasley that make him so unique! When he
was barely a year old somehow he figured out how to play fetch, it's
definitely his favorite game and it never gets old! He brings us the
ball every night, we throw it into the kitchen and he runs and skids
after the ball, then he scoops it up with his paw and puts it in his
mouth to bring back to us! Being a very quick learner, my husband has
trained Weasley to high five for his favorite treats (Greenies). Anytime
we open the pantry door, he props himself up on a shelf and raises his
right paw and after a high five (or low five) from one of us he drops
down and gets a very tasty treat!
One of Weasley's favorite things to do is sit at the front storm door
and watch it rain... if I would let him, he would be out in the rain
instead of watching it! He is all about getting in boxes and baskets, no
matter how small they are for him, he makes it happen! He isn't scared
of many things, except for our Herby Curby trash can and the sound of
someone blowing on a glass bottle. Weasley is more like a dog than a cat
for sure, he's a constant companion when my husband or I are at home and
he sleeps at my feet every night. Whenever we have a get together at our
house he has to be the center of attention, running around at full
speed, climbing his cat tree up to the ceiling in the living room, and
introducing himself to everyone in the room. He loves to show off, and
we love to show him off! Even non-cat lovers say that if there ever was
a cat for them, it would be him. How flattering! We love you Weasley!
