Katie, the Cat of the Day
Name: Katie
Age: Two years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Savannah
Home: San Francisco, California, USA

Katie is the best pet... she is so funny and lovable. She adores water, and claims the bath for at least the first half hour before I am allowed in there. She loves to fetch rubber duckies from the bathtub. She likes to wash my hair for me and sleep on my lap (which is not really big enough for her as she is very tall). Katie goes for walks on the leash around the neighborhood and loves the attention she gets from everyone. She knows how gorgeous she is!

Katie is doing great, she's still a lot of fun to live with :-). Katie still loves water (we have a whole collection of pictures of her in the bathtub, the sink, the shower...), and leaping after feather wand toys... but her favorite activity is often washing our hair! Just like she grooms herself, she likes to groom our heads for us. She purrs and licks and rubs her head on ours. It's very sweet if a little messy!

Katie is a very tall girl, she is sixteen inches at the shoulder but only fourteen pounds in weight, Savannahs are a very tall breed of domestic cat, but lean, so they are often deceptive and people think they weigh more than they do. She is a very affectionate and interactive cat, she walks up to everyone that visits and gives them a head butt and rubs against them. She is okay with being picked up but complains after a little bit as she'd rather be playing with you than being held.

Katie is very gentle and plays well with everyone including children. She loves any wand toy, and will play all day if someone will play with her. Savannahs are a very high energy breed of cat! Her biggest vice is paper towels... she loves to shred them, and toilet paper. She will make a mound of shredded paper and roll about in it, so very happy with herself. We have special toilet paper holders that don't allow her to unroll them to shred now...

   We adore her!
