Lovely
Lydia is our one-year-old blue ragdoll cat. We also call her
"baby cat." She has a two year old "brother" who is actually her
mother's litter mate. Lydia was brought home to keep her brother
Sebastian company. They do everything together - eat, play, sleep,
wrestle. She is very protective of him but can be very jealous. If we
show him more attention than her she will meow until we turn our
attention back to her. The two of them like to slink around the house
and keep an eye on everything. They are underfoot at all times.
Lydia likes to cuddle and she has an incredible purr. In the morning her
favorite place is to lay on you in the bed and be petted and massaged
while she purrs. She likes to hide under the covers when we make the bed
which is funny since she is twelve pounds now and hard to conceal!
Lydia is really a very goofy cat. She will play with anything she can
bat with her paws, especially hair ties. She will sit on the ping pong
table and try to catch the balls! She also likes to walk around with her
fluffy tail straight up in the air all the time even though she is
spayed which I think is precious. Lydia likes to paw at the floor to
"sweep" up after us and she also paws at doors. She does not like being
shut out from a room - even when we are in the shower she will paw at
the glass door sometimes. She never uses her claws to scratch.
Lydia is the Cat of the Day because she is sweet and friendly, but also
loyal, and most of all hilarious!
