This
is Pixie, also called Pix, and Pixel. Pixie and her brother Diego
were adopted from the animal shelter. She is a tiny cat, so her name
turned out to be a really good choice. This photo is of Pixie's first
experience in the snow. There were paw prints all over the yard by the
time the cats were done romping around.
Pixie's person is our youngest daughter from whom she tolerates a ton of
affection and is usually carried about over her shoulder. It doesn't
look comfortable, but they seem to like it. Pix sleeps with her every
night and is waiting to go outside bright and early the next morning,
then comes in for afternoon napping.
Pixie likes to play catch and release with butterflies and lizards. The
butterflies usually get away, but the lizards don't fare as well. Pixie
is a very special cat to our whole family.
