Boots
has been through a lot. He was dropped off at the local animal
shelter by his previous owners. How anyone could abandon this beautiful
sweet cat is beyond me. One of the volunteers saw what a great cat he was
and drove him all the way from Austin to the Siamese rescue center in
Houston. She's our hero!!! I went to the center just to "look" at cats.
Well, I decided to foster him and that's all it took, the rest is history.
He's been my Boots ever since. He weighed nine pounds when he first came
home with me. Since then he started putting away the groceries and weighs
thirteen pounds and is getting bigger by the day. He's very happy in his
new home.
Boots has a personality similar to a dog. He follows me from room to room
and fetches. He chases his ball, plays with it for a few minutes, and then
brings it back to the palm of my hand for me to throw again. Makes me
wonder who's training who. After he wears me out he'll sit at the top of
the stairs and bat and chase his ball to the bottom. He loves it. He
sleeps with me but I have to pick up all his toys before we retire,
otherwise, he brings them to bed in the middle of the night for more play
time. Boots is a very special cat. I'm glad he rescued me.
