This
is our cat Gus (full name Gustavo Alfonso). Well, Gus was rescued
from the San Diego County Pound, where he ended up in a crazy cage with
a huge viewing windows and a furry sleeping pad. No peace and quiet or
privacy.
He didn't like it there and was scared when all these people stuck their
faces up against the window. So he took his sleepy pad and put it on top
of his head and just hoped it would all go away. Well, we found him
completely irresistible, and took him away from there.
Gus has really come out of his shell after coming home with us and even
the move to Seattle has given him a new lease on life. Having cataracts
and lacking the ability to focus clearly doesn't slow him down as he
sprints around the house at full speed.
Gus can fetch balls, Gus can climb a cat tree with his front claws only
and jump really high. Gus can do vertical jump from a seated position
almost six feet straight up.
We sure hope you feel that Gus is special as we do every day.
