As
a kitten, Dexter was rescued at a busy intersection on a very rainy
day. At the moment, he is a healthy fifteen-pound "almost" tomcat who loves
being outside patrolling his five-acre domain - a job taken very
seriously. Some of his favorite activities are sunning himself on the
back deck, checking out the toad and goldfish population in the pond,
and tramping in the woods when we go for walks. He hates to be picked up
and struggles with being cheerful.
Dexter looks forward to every meal and is always patient while waiting
for his dry-food-tuna-from-a-can mixture to be prepared. We have found
that the best way to share affection with him is while he's in La-La
Land. It's at those times you can do anything you want to him and he
doesn't care - even rub his belly and massage his armpits and between his
toes. Dexter has taught us what it means to give unconditional love.
