Ashes
is a very special cat. Forgotten Felines, a no-kill cat shelter,
put her picture in a local newspaper.
We fell in love with her a first sight. She took a few months to warm up
to us, but now sleeps between us every night. She has become our alarm
clock. Every morning she will head butt and lick our faces until we get
up. She takes this job very seriously.
Ashes is a very smart cat, in fact she has a PhD (pesters humans
daily). Our other cat Smokey wanted her to have the honor of being Cat
of the Day. He has been bugging us to send her picture in for a while,
and when she was diagnosed with feline lymphoma recently we knew we had
to nominate her for the cat of the day honor. She is on medication and
so far is responding well. We hope she will be with us for a long time
to come.
