What
makes Yoyo special? For one thing, he's a working cat. My husband
works in an big old Victorian that's home to several small businesses.
Yoyo was brought in this fall to help keep the mouse population in
check. He lives in the house all week, patrolling for mice, and also
helping out in other ways, like typing on everyone's keyboards, knocking
detritus off desks, and taking pens and pencils for walks.
Yoyo is also a sweet, friendly, talkative cat, who brightens the days of
his human coworkers. Every landlord should consider this approach to
pest control - Yoyo may not have actually caught many mice that we know
of, but his presence alone is a good deterrent to the mice, and is
environmentally friendly. And all the people who work in the house say
he is always good for stress relief as well!
