This
is my precious Sugar. She came to me two years ago, a very scared,
little cat without a home. She's an incredibly sweet girl who was a
starving stray from the woods near the local airport.
Unfortunately she spent much of her time hiding under the bed at first.
But with a lot of love and patience she has turned into a sweet,
trusting friend. After taking her in and giving her special attention
she has really grown in so many ways! We didn't know if she even knew
how to play at first, but now Sugar fiercely defends our home from toy
mice of all kinds. Nothing makes her happier than seeing you wake up in
the middle of the night; she squeaks with joy and quickly runs over to
get petted and loved. Like most cats, she loves to play, lay in the sun
all day, and gaze out the window to guard us from potential hazards --
like birds. We are grateful to have been given the opportunity to care
for this super-sweet cat; our hope is to give her as much love in
return.
She loves to play, watch squirrels out the window, and cuddle with me.
She does have a few demands however.
1) That there be a neat pile of pillows on the bed for her to sleep on
or look out the window from all day.
2) That in the evening, there must be a blanket on my lap for her to
cuddle. And
3) that she must be left alone during her bedtime bath,
unless of course it is to let her wash my toes too.
She is a very special little girl who brings this home a lot of love and
joy.
