Schuyler
(aka The Dude) came to us as an eight-week-old kitten along with
his half-sister. From the very beginning, he exhibited exceptional
charm. A chatty guy, he's happy to interact with everyone he meets.
Nobody's a stranger to Schuyler. He's the most laid-back cat I've ever
come across. In all his life, I've never heard him hiss or growl. (He
does snore.)
Extremely good with his paws, he'll give high fives for a treat. The
Dude has learned how to open doors and drawers to get at catnip and the
treats, which he shares with his brothers and sisters. He has taught
all the other cats to open shutters and operate the treat ball. He's
always up for a snack and will happily share as long as he gets the
lion's portion.
His favorite toy is a laser pen. He'd chase that little beam of light
all day. The bathtub is a place The Dude loves. He cries until the tap
is turned quickly on and off ,although it disturbs him if the water is
left on for any length of time. For reasons that escape me, he needs to
rub his face on and pat at every lamp shade in the house. More lamps are
knocked over that way. He also likes to knock all the spare change off
my son's chest of drawers, as well as anything else that's up there.
The Dude exfoliates my face daily. He's a cuddly and affectionate guy
who adores being picked up and handled. He'll share a lap or a bed with
any or all of the other cats in the family and is always obliging when
others want to play.
I can't imagine life without The Dude.
