Gypsy
is a celebrity cat here in Memphis. She was found two years ago
living under a shed. Now Gypsy lives in a Wild Birds Unlimited Store
and has her own employees and customers. She has a featured column,
"Gypsy's Corner", in the monthly newsletter and gives helpful tips and
advice on birdwatching. Gypsy has quite a following and frequently
receives treats and toys from her fans.
Gypsy spends her days sleeping on top of the computer monitor, in
birdbaths, or in baskets. When she feels like waking up she watches the
birds and greets customers. She even has a life-sized tree right in the
store for her own personal scratching post. She doesn't have a water
dish, because she only drinks fresh water out of a fountain. Every
morning when her humans open the store, she demands breakfast - wet food
slightly warmed in the microwave, and when the store closes in the
evening she expects a bowl of dry food as a reward for her hard day's
work. Everyone is so happy that Gypsy chose to live with us and we all
love her!
