About Us
Zella, the Cat of the Day
Name: Zella
Age: Two and a Half years old
Gender: Female
Kind: Cat
Home: Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

This is Zella, our Pixie-Bob. Three years ago our beloved thirteen-year-old Siamese, Kato, died of cancer and we were beside ourselves with sadness. My husband and I thought we should wait a year before replacing Kato. Three months later my sweetie came home with a tiny bundle of fluff that had golden eyes, tufted ears, huge feet and a tiny tail. She stole our hearts.

In the summer time Zella travels with us on our boat through the Canadian Gulf Islands and the U.S. San Juans. She is a wonderful traveller. On hot summer days she can be found catching some rays and occasionally she will go on sea gull patrol. Because of Zella, our boat is sea gull free. The picture of Zella was taken this past summer on our boat in her favorite place - the guest cabin.

Zella is very special to us because of her calm and gentle manner. In this world of high stress and impossible deadlines she is an oasis of calmness. I also love the fact that she runs (no, I mean runs) to the door to greet us when we come home each day. Probably just looking for a meal, but nice to have her at the door just the same.
