Hi,
my name is Gene. I am a female cat and currently live in Tucson,
Arizona. I was originally born some place in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Shortly after my birth, I, along with my mom and my siblings got rescued
by the Southside animal rescue team and we were placed in a adoption
center in a local PetSmart. My uncle picked me out from the rest of my
siblings and rescued me. He said he picked me over my brothers and
sisters because I was the first one to walk up to him and purr.
However, shortly after adopting me, my Uncle realized that he was quite
allergic to me. He started to sneeze constantly and started to develop
rashes. He was contemplating hard to return me to the shelter. This is
when my Mommy (my uncle's sister) decided to take me in to her home.
She has already adopted another cat (Mojo) a few months earlier and Mojo
didn't like me at the start. She however warmed up to me pretty
quick, and now, we are inseparable.
Two years ago, Mommy had to relocate to Arizona from Indiana, therefor,
the three of us made the move to the southwest...and I love it out here.
I love playing with my sister, Mojo, walking outside on a leash, chasing
after bugs, and sleeping next to Mommy. I've never be happier...and I
am glad I didn't get sent back to the shelter!
