Bailey
is the most beautiful love bug I have ever known! He came to
live with me as soon as I graduated from college and has never left my
side since. He is from my local Human Society. I would encourage
every one who is considering getting a kitty to visit their city's
shelter. You would be amazed at the little gems you can find there!
Bailey loves to be loved. If you allow him, he will knead you for
hours. His face grows very intent when he kneads and you literally have
to lift him off of you to make him stop. He also truly enjoys having
his belly scratched and his catnaps. When I awake him, he will roll on
his back, stretch out his arms and legs, and make a little noise just
like a person does as he stretches out. No matter where I am in my
house, Bailey is not far behind. If food is in the air, his "sniffer"
immediately picks up on it and he is certain to beg. If I pretend to
ignore him, he will gently tap me with his pad to let me know that he is
there. He also always makes his presence known by "peeping". He peeps
when he sees you, peeps when he jumps up to visit you in bed or on the
couch, and sometimes he simply peeps for no reason!
If Bailey does something naughty and gets scolded, he likes to take out
his anger on his little sister, Miss Ruby. He and Miss Ruby are like
any brother and sister; sometimes they like each other and sometimes
they don't!
I cannot imagine not having Bailey in my life. He has been with me
through both good times and bad and he has always proven to be a loyal
and loving friend as well as a very important member of my family.
