Alphie
is like a little tiger. He's extremely playful and loves to play
hide and seek with my husband and I. Since he's an only kitten, we are
his playmates and he loves to play wild kitty games with us.
Alphie is affectionate when he wants to be held, or when he wants food.
Otherwise, he's very independent. He loves to play with beanie babies
and one of his favorite games is playing catch. I stand across the room
and swing the beanie baby back and forth toward him and he comes running
and jumps three feet into the air and catches it. He also loves to pull
post-it notes off the wall. We put a post-it on a wall at least 5 feet
up and he jumps up and takes it down. We discovered this game because my
husband put a post-it up as a reminder, and wondered how it got on the
floor. He put it back up and Alphie came running and jumped up and took
it down.
My husband has taught him "to give paw" for a treat. You show him the
treat, and say, "give me paw" and he'll place his paw in your hand as he
takes the treat from your other hand.
Overall, he's just a lot of fun. He needs lots of attention and
interaction from us. We don't have children, but he loves the
neighborhood children and had a great time last Fall leaping over the
leaf piles as several boys helped my husband rake. We think he's really
just a little boy at heart. Hope this helps you get an idea of what a
