Max
(also known as The King, Prince, Maxxy, Fatboy) came home with us
late in September of last year. He was the cutest thing I had seen in a
long time! I fell in love right away. That day last year he was so
bony you could practically count every rib and backbone he had. Today
he is a butterball living a life of leisure. I am so glad we saved him
and seeing the shine of his coat and the gleam in his eye are tremendous
rewards.
My husband is really Max's human, but he enjoys all the family. He
graces us with his presence when it pleases him. Most of the time
though, he plays with my dog Madison, whom he treats as a mother. Max is
not graceful, in fact he is a total klutz. He often falls off the bed,
miscalculates when jumping causing him to crash, and runs amok through
the house, bounding off walks, and sliding across our wooden floors. He
is a riot, and provides us with endless hours of entertainment! We all
love Max and some days, I think he loves us too!
