Timon
is a survivor. I rescued him when he was only five or six weeks
old, he was the last of his litter. All the others had disappeared and
were probably dead, the mother cat was a young female that did little to
care for them. I took him home and weaned him and by the end of the
first week he was sleeping on my shoulder and purring. He has trusted me
ever since.
His companion is Tucker, a grey tabby, they keep each
other busy during the day when I am working. They are both house cats
but the picture above depicts a rare time when they lived in California
in with a back yard that was kitty safe. This is the first time Timon
had climbed real tree.
He is a fetcher and brings me his toys when he is
ready to play. He also growls when ever strangers come to my front door,
a nice alarm system. He looks after me when I sick and sleeps next to me
at night. Both are always eager to see me in when I return in the
evening and Timon follows me around the house to "supervise" all that I
do. I have had many cats in my life, but this guy is a special one, his
personality is so unique and even though I will have cats later in life
I know he will never be replaced in my heart. Okay...now I will go home
tonight and give him an extra special hug.
