Button
is ten years old, give or take, and he's what is know as an orange
American common ... and sometimes a brat too ... Button, well he's what
I'd call the Yellow Lab of cats - laid back and friendly. He and I have
been alone together from day one so he comes across as a bit of a
territorial individual. He likes to play, but not a lot. I've bought him
toys but to no avail - he loves those yellow sticky notes you use in the
office for reminders. Just roll them up into a ball and flick them just
about anywhere. The money I've spent on toys, I've finally learned that
it's been pretty much a waste. But hey, all in all he's a typical cat.
He's good company and likes his snacks and brush - the two magic words
that make him smile. I've done some moving around, both within the city
and inter-provincial. And he has taken the brunt of most of it,
including being boarded a few times, keeping us apart and neither he,
nor I liked it. But we've weathered the storms and still are best
friends. He's an indoor cat and I think that has added to his longevity.
He has grown to be a large male and when I've picked up others, he's
likely the biggest one yet! So don't ask how he got in the bag ... he's
cat, remember?
